Happy September! Here are a few things to keep in mind:

Attend our opening social September 6th. Come to renew old friendships and create new ones. You will also get to meet your area representative.

Encourage your family members (and yourself) to contribute to our monthly newsletter. Our newsletter can only be as good as our members make it.

Support your area representative by attending your first local area mother’s meeting. At this meeting you will meet those moms who live near you and get a better idea of how our new changes can benefit you and your family.

Support other homeschoolers. No matter what stage of homeschooling you are in, you do have something valuable to offer other members. We are all incredibly busy, but please be willing to reach out to other members who need you.

ANY activity that is listed in the Your Neck of the Woods section is open to our entire membership. You can attend any activity that is advertised. Our local area groups are in existence to create community among those who are close in proximity and provide support to those who want to organize activities.

We are looking for one of our members who 1) is willing to host a mom's get-away and 2) has a big enough home for about 30 - 40 women. The event will be sponsored by the Deseret Homeschool Association Board, but we are in need of an inside location (unless you all would like to be out under the stars.) Let me know if you are able and willing.
